April 10, 2019—Voters’ Right to Know is proud to announce its endorsement of Arizona’s proposed Outlaw Dirty Money amendment.
The amendment would give the people of Arizona a right to know the original sources of money being spent to influence their elections, requiring groups making campaign media expenditures to disclose their sources of major funding. Full text of the proposed measure can be found here.
“With special interests spending millions in secret money to keep elections tipped in their favor, Arizona voters have a right to know who’s really behind the campaigns that seek to influence the way they vote,” said Voters’ Right to Know Executive Director Jay Costa. “The Outlaw Dirty Money amendment is a common sense measure that will expose secret money and ensure that government is working for everyday Arizonans, not special interests.”
